PART 1 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT – TO START SPRING/SUMMER 2025
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join our busy team, assisting with the delivery of exciting projects from concept to completion. This is a full time, office based position.
Job Description
As a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, you will be working under the guidance of experienced senior team members to support the design and technical aspects of various architectural projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a collaborative, creative, and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of design proposals, drawings, and presentations for client meetings and project proposals.
- Preparing detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections, using AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
- Collaborating with other team members on the development of design concepts and solutions.
- Helping with project administration, including the preparation of schedules, cost estimations, and other documentation.
- Assisting in the preparation of planning applications and technical reports.
- Engaging in site visits and assisting with on-site project coordination.
- Participating in project team meetings and design workshops.
- Researching building regulations, standards, and construction methods.
- Contributing to the creation of project boards, mood boards, and other visual materials for client presentations.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant Undergraduate Degree.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software (SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Good understanding of architectural design principles and construction techniques.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate ideas clearly.
- Strong visual, presentation, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Prior experience in an architectural practice is desirable but not essential.
